Mr. Nagge holds a Masters degree in guitar performance from the University of Tennessee, where he studied with jazz giant Jerry Coker. In addition to Music Arts, he teaches at Maryville College, Pellissippi State University, and Roane State Community College.
His specialty areas are jazz improvisation and classical guitar. He has an excellent general music background, which comes from having advanced degrees.
He emphasizes the teaching of music theory in lessons. He is well-respected among the guitar community, and has a quiet, encouraging style in lessons.
Mr. Nagge prefers more advanced students but may consider teaching beginners, with an audition. |
