Music Arts Update
Fall Quarter
September 1 - December 1, 2003

Welcome to Our New Facility!

During the past summer, Music Arts made a major move. The Alliance Church, on the corner of Robertsville and Raleigh Roads, has hosted several of our instructors for the past 12 years. Now we’ve added the other instructors who were teaching at the building on Jefferson Avenue. It’s great to have all the lessons in one place, and not only is there more room, it’s also more conveniently located, within walking distance of the high school and Robertsville Middle School!

Move VolunteersMany thanks to the parents, students and instructors who helped us move! Left to right, pictured to the right, are David Bridges, Cathy Bridges, Judy Roitman, Daniel Bridges, Rudolph Nemeth, Ilia Steinschneider, Dr. Arnold Bridges and Jessie Pounds. What an enthusiastic crew!

After moving the music library, music stands, tables and other stuff, the group soothed their sore muscles at an ice cream party hosted by the music school!

Zapped?

Well over a third of our students are now getting their bills through their email addresses. That tickles us, because it’s much simpler (and faster!)(and cheaper!) for us to send your bill electronically. If you’d like to join this modern crowd (please!), indicate it on the return section of your bill.

Don’t want to miss the M.A. Update? You can always visit this website, www.MusicArtsSchool.org, to read a full-color version of this Quarterly Newsletter.

Did you get a 10% discount on your continuing summer quarter lessons?

If you did, it means you paid on time (postmarked by the 3rd or hand-delivered by the 5th) throughout the past year. Keep up the good work- It’s worth it! (See p.8, Student Guide.)

Paying Monthly?

The “monthly” amounts on your bill are a reflection of your entire quarter’s lessons, divided into equal payments. These amounts rarely have any connection with the actual number of lessons taken in any one month. You might be paying for 10 lessons, for example, with each monthly payment representing 3 1/3 lessons, while in one month you might actually have five lessons, and the next month, one lesson, with 4 lessons in the final month. But the monthly payments are essentially the same (we’ve rounded things off to avoid odd cents, by popular request).

Donors Appreciated!

Thanks in advance for considering a donation to our fund drive. You’ll be helping our programs grow, and most especially, giving scholarships to a growing number of youngsters who can’t afford private music lessons.

Shameless Bribe! Win free lessons!

Don’t miss our biggest 20th Anniversary Contest! Refer new students to any of our Music Arts instructors and you might be the winner of as many as 24 lessons in addition to your usual “take!”– see page 8 in your Student Guide. (Maximum of 12 half-hour lessons per each of two Quarters, and credits can’t be carried forward.)

Get busy and tell everyone about the wonderful opportunities that Music Arts offers and be sure to ask them to name you as the person who referred them!! Our students are our best advertising!

If you’re short on words, or perhaps don’t know too much about the other Music Arts instructors, tell your friends and neighbors to visit our website at www.MusicArtsSchool.org.
