Ilia Steinschneider, Violin and Viola Instructor

A native of Moscow, Steinschneider studied at the famed Moscow Conservatory. His English is excellent; he started studying English as a child. He toured with American-Soviet Youth Orchestra during the summer of 1990 and entered Oberlin College, where he earned a Bachelor of Music in 1995. He has earned a Master of Music degree from Boston University with a major in violin performance. He plays with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra.

He's a patient and gentle person who has had quite a bit of teaching experience. He has an excellent rapport with young children as well as adults. He teaches at his home in Knoxville, and has attracted weekly students from as far away as Virginia.
