Ilia Steinschneider, Violin and Viola Instructor

Violin. Native of Moscow; studied at Moscow Conservatory. His English is excellent; he started studying it as a child. Toured with American-Soviet Youth Orchestra during the summer of 1990 and entered Oberlin College, where he earned a bachelor of music in 1995. He has earned a Master of Music degree from Boston University with a major in violin performance. He is a member of the Knoxville Symphony’s core orchestra. He is a patient and gentle person and has had quite a bit of teaching experience and is very good with young children. He teaches in Oak Ridge four days a week as well as at his home in West Knoxville.
