Music Arts Recital
May 31, 1998

2 p.m. recitalists

A lively recital was held at 2 p.m. on May 31. Performing were:

Not pictured are Syrah Gunning, student of Griggs; and John Antonas, piano student.

An Intermission Quiz entitled "A Little Night Music" questioned students on music with a night theme. Prizes were awarded for correct answers, such as "What is a Nocturne?" which was answered correctly by Ben Pounds, who drew the connection with "nocturnal." Judy Roitman and Larry Pounds hosted the reception which followed the performance.

 

3:30 pm
3:30 p.m. recitalists

A second recital was held on Sunday May 31, at 3:30 p.m., featuring:

Front row, left to right: Nina Bernard, piano student of Matthew Bak; Brian Mensel, piano student of Rudolph Nemeth; and Jessica Barnthouse, voice student of Lisa Griggs; and
Back row: Christian Ferguson and Bobby Rutkowski, students of Griggs; Karen Cheng and Kate Jernigan, piano students of Bak; and Ethan Mansel, student of Nemeth.

Lindsey Day, a student of Griggs, is not pictured.

During the Intermission Quiz, a "Whodunnit," prizes were awarded to students answering a range of questions concerning composers and their music. The reception which followed the program was hosted by Pam Jernigan and Matthew Bak.
