Participants in the recital (pictured right) include:
Students in Oak Ridge’s nonprofit music school presented a recital at 2 o’clock on Sunday, November 14, 2004. Held at the Unitarian Church, the event showcased students of piano, voice, French horn, baritone and flugelhorn. Piano students of Rudolph Nemeth were Jack Landenberger, Marco Eres, Robert McCleary, William Mason, Ashton Clark, Rachel Sammons, Veronica Eres, Jacob Goodlaxson and Rebecca Walker. Brass students of Marcay Dickens and Warren Clark included Hilde Oliver, Rachel Oliver and Bob Broyles. Voice student Beth Jinkerson represented instructor Cheryl Scappaticci. Music Arts director Nancy England added some “half-time” fun to the recital with an Intermission Quiz which featured a Jeopardy-style test of the students’ knowledge of notation. Students were rewarded with small prizes for correct answers. A door prize drawing awarded student Ashton Clark with her choice of a tote bag or a frisbee, both with the music school’s logo. The reception which followed the recital was hosted by Liz Goodlaxson with the assistance of Zara Goodlaxson and Janet Bartlett. |
