Rudolph Nemeth

Rudolph Nemeth, Piano Instructor

A native of Czechoslovakia, where his fondness for American jazz and pop music was discouraged by the regime, Rudolph and his family braved some tough times to make their home in America. But the story takes a happy twist, because Rudolph has worked hard toward his goals and appreciates the opportunities available to him in Oak Ridge. Rudolph has a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in performance and music technical production. He's at home teaching a wide variety of styles, including classical, in which he was trained.

With an upbeat and optimistic personality, he works enthusiastically and patiently with all levels of students. He's also a skilled and meticulous piano tuner, works full time as a professional musician, and serves as pianist and organist for Robertsville Baptist Church. He's fluent in English and speaks several other languages, including Hungarian, German, and his native Slovakian. He's released several CD's and cassettes of his music. He usually has a waiting list for piano and keyboard instruction.

He's also available for hire (with a portable digital piano) for parties and other events.
