Music Arts Faculty: Shannon Hamblen

Shannon Hamblen, Guitar, Fiddle, Mandolin, and Electric Bass Guitar.

Graduated from UT Knoxville in August 2007 with a Master’s Degree in Education. Has played in a number of bluegrass bands. Teaches reading sheet music and tablature for guitar, specializes in country, gospel, rock and blues. Fiddle teaching both by tablature and sheet music. Emphasizes both songs and theory for all instruments. Works extremely well with all ages, with students as young as 6. Will work out a good day and time tailored to each student’s schedule. Teaches at home in east Oak Ridge.
