Erin Bray is a native of Buffalo, NY. She earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Clarion University and a Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Erin is an active freelance musician & teacher in the East Tennessee area. She has held adjunct positions at both the University of Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial University.

Her middle- and high school students often participate in the Knoxville Symphony Youth Orchestra; the ETSBOA’s Junior Clinic and All-East Senior Clinic & Jazz Clinic; and the TMEA All-State. After graduating from high school, many of Erin’s students go on to win music scholarships at their respective universities (East Tennessee State University, The University of Tennessee, Belmont University and The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, to name just a few)—even those that have chosen majors other than music.

Erin’s philosophy of music education includes concentration on fundamentals, technique, tone production, styles and expressiveness. Lessons are individualized to each student’s needs, with a focus on the sequential acquisition of skills.
